Chinese New Year Markets in Sydney

Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds and flavours of an Asian market place, with clashing woks, lions, dragons, Asian pop, and spicy Sichuan food at Sydney’s Chinese New Year Festival Markets.

Chefs, including former MasterChef contestants Adam Liaw and Alvin Quah, will demonstrate their sizzling cooking techniques in the Chinese New Year AYAM™ Kitchen. Learn how to make mouth-watering specialties to celebrate the Lunar New Year at home. International chefs from Chengdu will spice up your life with fiery Sichuan food stalls. Or if you like your flavours a little milder, slurp a bowl of noodles, or tuck into some traditional new year dumplings.

Right across the weekend, there’s a whole host of entertainment including DJs, the latest Asian pop, Korean rock band New Life, karaoke stars battling it out on stage and Bruce Lee’s story on the big screen. All this plus traditional performance and plenty of arts and crafts and new year’s gifts to buy.
