The exciting tour shows you the highlights of Vietnam. It starts in Saigon to experience the contrasting of this bustling city and tranquillity countryside of the Mekong Delta with colourful culture, and ends in in Hanoi to discover the elegant architecture and fascinating Vietnam history with a scenic cruise at World Natural Heritage of Halong Bay on an overnight Junk boat.

Day 1 Australia / Saigon

Fly with Thai Airways to Saigon, upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Mekong Delta

Morning explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam. Cruise waterways, stopping at abundant orchards to taste exotic fruits and to learn how to make delicious coconut candies, later afternoon walking tour of historic Dong Khoi Street, and then visit the Reunification Palace and War Remnants Museum. Enjoy a river cruise dinner along the Saigon River (B/D)

Day 3 Saigon / Hanoi

Today explore Saigon’s famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network of tunnels which stretches over hundreds of kilometres. You’ll have the opportunity to crawl in a section of the tunnels to learn how the brave men and women of Cu Chi built underground hospitals, kitchens and meeting rooms during their struggle for a unified Vietnam. Afternoon flight to the capital city of Hanoi, upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel (B/D)

Day 4  Hanoi / Halong Bay

Morning visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and explore his former home, the House of Stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda, before sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside as we drive to Halong Bay - one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Sail among thousands of limestone islands rising mystically from the water, explore caves and grottos and relax on the beach.  Stay overnight on the traditional junk boat. (B/L/D)

Day 5 Halong Bay

Morning cruise, take a wooden boat to explore caves and spot monkeys, after a lunch, return to Hanoi, wander through the streets of the fascinating Old Quarter, visit the ancient Temple of Literature and infamous Hanoi Hilton, enjoy local specialty dinner and an evening water puppet performance. Day 6 Hanoi / Australia

Spend your leisure time before transfer to the airport for your flight back to Australia (B)
