Paradise Resort Pool Builder Wins Major Awards

Paradise Resort
Paradise Resort's multi-million dollar pool renovation and waterpark installation was the catalyst for four major award wins at the 2012 Swimming Pool and Spa Association of QLD Australia n(SPASA) Awards held in July.

L&V Project Pools, the Resort's pool contractor for the renovation and revamp of the existing pool deck precinct, took out the following accolades for the project:

• The Commercial Pool Renovation (under $250,000) Award for the revamp of the Resort's existing pool and spa area

• The Commercial Pool Water Feature (under $250,000) Award for the 0-5 year Zone for Kids water play area

• The Commercial Pool Renovation (over $250,001) Award & the Commercial Pool Water Feature (over $250,001) Award for the installation of the 5-12 year Zone for Kids waterpark attraction

Resort General Manager, David Brook, believes the wins are a reflection of the quality and popularity of the Zone for Kids (Z4K) water park precinct, which has been a hit with families since its opening in October 2011.

"We are proud that our contract partner in developing the pool deck area - L&V Project Pools - was able to translate the vision of what we wanted to offer our guests," he said.

"Their craftsmanship and attention to detail has added real value in terms of family fun, creating a pool and water attraction precinct for the Resort that caters perfectly to all our guests - whatever their size."

Both the 0-5 year and 5-12 year water park attractions sport a myriad of slides, water cannons and jets to entertain and engage the whole family, topped off with a giant bucket that fills with 600 litres of water before dumping it on the kids below in one enormous splash!

The Awards, handed out at the Sofitel Hotel in Brisbane in late July, are a state based scheme and only open to SPASA members.

The awards were judged by an independent panel of industry based design professionals from magazine editors, designers, architects and engineers.

Set on five acres close to beaches and attractions, Paradise Resort is renowned as the number one destination for families travelling to the Gold Coast and the Z4K water park reinforces this positioning.

"The revamp entailed the transformation of the entire central resort area to feature a giant lagoon pool, large heated spa and two enormous Z4K waterpark attractions," said Mr Brook.

"The Resort's owners made a large capital investment and created one of the biggest Resort aqua play waterparks in the Southern Hemisphere, to deliver even more value to our guests."
