Amazing Creative Hotel Designs


There are many hotels scattered ion counties around the world. Some just look like tall office blocks, while others have unique designs that make them stand out amongst the others.

A new hotel has opened in Huzhou, China - the Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort, It is built in the shape of a horseshoe shape. It is hard to comprehend how it would look like drawn on paper, but once seen in reality it looks amazing. It is on the banks of Lake Taihu in the Zhejiang Province. When it is lit up at night its half-ring lights are reflected on the lake below.

The unusual design of the hotel means that every single room has equal amounts of sunshine, natural light, ventilation, and views of the lake.


Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai

This Burj Al Arab Hotel is found in Dubai and is one of the highest in the world. It is shaped like the sail of a dhow (an Arabian boat). The two wings of the “mast” frame the huge atrium in the middle. It is topped off with helicopter landing pads for a quick arrival at the hotel.

Hotel Kakslauttanen is located in Finland near the hotel front-door.The hotel offers a choice of  log cabins, a turf chamber and a traditional Lappish farmer log house. In winter people can stay in a traditional snow igloo or a unique futuristic glass igloo. From these guests can view the northern lights in a normal room temperature under the glass ceiling. The Igloo Village has a snow chapel and an ice bar which are built each winter season from January to April.

Gamirasu Cave Hotel is the a  twenty-five-room cave house opened in 1999, in Ayvali Village in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey. It is in restored one thousand year old Byzantine monastic retreat, which retains the old with modern conveniences.  The ancient monastery actually had prison cells in it.

This hotel was formerly a Bullring, which saw its last bullfight in 1975. The hotel is built around the 19th century grandstand of the restored San Pedro bullfighting ring and has retained its original round shape, The bullfight ring is no a colonial-style patio, with cobblestones, flowers and a fountain.

The Magic Mountain Hotel is built in the shape of a volcano It is built from timber and stone, with the windows surrounded by moss and vines. Rather than spurting lava from the top of the Montaña Mágica Hotel, water bursts of from the top and cascades down the sides everyday. There is a wooden drawbridge to enter the hotel, which is surrounded by lush forest.


Ryugyong Hotel
Ryugyong Hotel, North Korea

The Ryugyong Hotel is located in the Pyongyang, North Korea. It is a 105 story pyramid shaped sky-scraper building and construction first started back in 1987. The hotel is expected to open later this year. The Ryugyong Hotel is 330 metres high, making it the tallest building in North Korea.

The building consists of three wings, each measuring 100 metres long, 18 metres wide, and sloped at a 75‑degree angle. They meet at a common point to form a pinnacle. On top of the building is cone 40 metres wide, which has 8 floors that are intended to revolve, topped by six more static floors.


Poseidon Underwater Resorts, Fiji

This hotel is located 40ft under the sea in a lagoon off the shore of a private island in Fiji. It is pletely under the water and is in the style of a submarine. Access is by elevators which lead 40 feet down to 22 pod like guest rooms, an underwater restaurant, bar, library, conference room, wedding chapel and spa.
