Meet Digby the Dunnart at Beneath the Creek, the newest addition to the Julia Creek Visitor Information Centre, 90 minutes outside of Cloncurry in Queensland Australia

Learn about the geology of the land and get hands-on with touch media displays highlighting everything from river systems through to renewable power generation. Enter the nocturnal viewing area to meet Digby, one of the very few remaining Julia Creek Dunnarts.
 

In its natural habitat in North West Queensland, sightings of this cute, bright-eyed critter are extremely rare because of their nocturnal habits and small population.
