DELOITTE PARTNERS WITH OPERA HOUSE FOR ‘IDEAS’ PROGRAM

Sydney Opera House and Deloitte have announced that the professional services firm will become Presenting Partner of the Opera House’s Ideas at the House program as part of a new collaboration.

The Opera House’s 40th Anniversary in October marks the beginning of a decade of renewal to safeguard it for future generations of artists, audiences and visitors. As part of the agreement, the two international brands will join forces to help shape the future of the Opera House, Australia’s most famous building and the world’s busiest performing arts centre.

Ideas at the House – the Opera House’s hugely successful talks and ideas program – provides an ideal platform for Deloitte’s focus on thinking at the edge.

Sydney Opera House CEO Louise Herron said: “The liberating power of art and ideas is integral to all the Opera House does – and never more so than in our 40th year. Deloitte’s passion for looking deeply into the big questions fits perfectly with our very successful Ideas at the House program. We are delighted to be working with an organisation that understands the value not only of ideas and debate but also of the Opera House itself.”

Giam Swiegers, Deloitte CEO, commented: “Our relationship with the Sydney Opera House reflects our passion for powerful ideas, our desire to host and facilitate debates that will help shape Australia’s future, and our desire to help maximise the value of this national icon.

“As its 40th anniversary approaches, we see huge current and future potential in the Opera House, as one of Australia’s greatest national assets. Much of our work at Deloitte involves leveraging and maximising business asset value and we want to apply those skills and insights to help the Opera House realise its potential and future value in the digital age.”

Deloitte partner and Chief Marketing Officer, David Redhill, added: “We are excited to become the ‘ideas partner’ for the Opera House and specifically to support Ideas at the House, which reflects our own passion for innovation and thinking differently.

Contemporary business problems rarely have simple solutions or linear impacts, and Deloitte believes in the power of new ideas to challenge convention and achieve visionary outcomes.”
