“Waking Up” Tourism Potentials of Ninh Thuan

With available advantages such as beautiful bay and dunes, unique Raglai and Cham cultures, the Province has chance to develop tourism sustainably. However, to enhance its competitiveness, the Province should focus on promoting the image of destinations.

Recently, thanks to the interest of central and local authorities, the provincial tourism sector has been significantly developing with diversified tourist products such as ecotourism, leisure, picnic, community-based tourism, attracting a large number of domestic and int’l tourists to Ninh Thuan.

Many tourist attractions such as Binh Son, Ninh Chu, Ca Na, traditional craft villages; unique festivals; cultural relics have been becoming ideal destinations to tourists.

There were discussion and evaluation by travel businesses on opportunities and challenges as well as tourism potentials of Ninh Thuan at the conference.

The representative of Vietravel, Ms. Viet Huong said with many beautiful and primary landscapes, Ninh Thuan has a huge potential for green, clean and beautiful tourism development. Its advantages will attract not only tourists but also investors.

In addition, the Province should focus on training professional tourism human resources to meet tourists’ different demands; promoting destinations; enhancing cooperative programs; linking 3 provinces of Lam Dong-Binh Thuan-Khanh Hoa; connecting tours and spots around the country.

Deputy Director of Ninh Thuan’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Ho Sy Son said, recently, provincial tourism sector had actively worked with many travel businesses; joined in tourism Expos; promoted local tourism over the world; welcomed Famtrips of Russia….

Furthermore, many other events of culture, sports and tourism were also held in the locality to introduce the image of people and tourism trademark of Ninh Thuan.

In 2013, it is hoped that the Province will welcome over one million arrivals including 120,000 int’l arrivals.
