Fairgrounds Expands Line-Up and Camping Availability; Unveils Delicious Food Menu

Newly released camping options on sale; 1st Release tickets nearly sold out!

There's only 8 short weeks to go until Fairgrounds Festival returns to Berry NSWfor the first weekend of summer, Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December. As this weekend of wonder draws closer, Fairgrounds is proud to welcome a new batch of world-class Australian talent to its bill in the form of Gabrielle Cohen, Middle Kids,Ali Barter, Bec Sandridge and Adam Gibson.

Thanks to overwhelming demand from revellers travelling from Sydney and Canberra, Fairgrounds is pleased to announce the expansion of its popularRivercamp. With tent prices starting at $50 per person per night, Fairgrounds is introducing all ages family friendly zoning as well as a free shuttle service operating to and from the festival. FAIRGROUNDS EXPANDS LINE-UP

Fairgrounds Festival already boasts one of the season's most exciting line-ups, including Rodriguez, Angel Olsen, Big Scary, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizardand The Drones. Also featuring the Swedish Troubadour The Tallest Man On Earth and Japandroids, who have sold out the rest of their Australian dates, so this will be your last chance to catch Vancouver's finest rock 'n' roll pair.

Joining the line-up will be Sydney trio Middle Kids, whose heartfelt single “Edge of Town” earned them top prize in FBi Radio's Northern Lights Competition and a trip to Iceland to perform at the Iceland Airwaves Music Festival. Melbourne'sGabriella Cohen will grace the bill with the slinky, lo-fi chords that BrooklynVegan recently described as “warm, smokey guitar pop, steeped in the Velvet Underground and vintage soul.”

Fellow Victorian Ali Barter will open festivities on Friday with her raucous, purposeful guitar-pop, while the South Coast's own Bec Sandridge will perform stripped-back and solo, proving why she's one of triple j unearthed's biggest breakouts of 2016.

Sydney storyteller Adam Gibson will return to Fairgrounds for a second year to open the intimate Newtown Social Club Stage with his hilarious and moving spoken-word tales, backed by his band The Ark-Ark Birds.

A MULTITUDE OF DELICIOUS FOOD

As well as pleasing ears and astounding eyes, Fairgrounds Festival will return this December with a vastly multiplied buffet of options for the tastebuds. Lead by local heroes in legendary Berry bakers Flour Water Salt and Jervis Bay restaurant Paper Bark Camp, your food and drink options at this year's festival will be endless.

Paper Bark Camp is an award-winning family-run business based in Jervis Bay, and will be bringing their dining experience to Fairgrounds, pop up style. Setting up a gourmet long table restaurant for short, festival friendly dinner services, making sure Fairgrounders will catch all the music they want to, bookings to the service will be available in October.

Flour Water Salt is a south coast hidden gem, a family-run business in the heart of Berry. Fairgrounds is tickled pink that Flour Water Salt will be bringing their bakery to the lush fields of the Berry Showgrounds, with sweet and savoury baked goods straight from the oven and garden-fresh salad boxes galore, with mouth-watering cheese and mezze plates, packed full of local produce in the Garden Bar.

Across the bountiful food areas, we will see the likes of Prestige Oyster Companyagain serving nothing but the freshest south coast oysters you've ever tasted. The Mac Merchants will be serving their inventive take on the mac and cheese classic. Locals Fat Shallot will be serving their delicious chilli salt squid to be washed down with a quenching apple, mint and ginger iced tea. The Gourmet Goons will be cooking up a vegetarian storm with their tofu and roasted mushroom burgers. Grab a mouth-watering gourmet hot dog from Chrissy's Cuts, a sweet treat from south coast's Diego's Donuts, a cake from Sweet Petit or confectionary from our friendsThe Treat Factory. Featuring this year will also be Sydney pizza dons Pizza Da Mario and colourful spice-merchants Cuban Cantina. Also on the table will be Japanese fare with Shiso Fine, Newtown smoke house Bovine & Swine, Fairgrounds favourite Vietnamese foodies Mama Linh's, Crepe Co, Juice Farm,Maverick Coffee and much, much more.

With another amazing batch of artists added to the line-up and the absolute universe of food options announced, Fairgrounds Festival 2016 is set to be a weekend that cements its position as one of the most unique events this festival season.
