International cuisine festival “Taste of the World 2016”

International cuisine festival “Taste of the World 2016” with the theme “Multi-sense cuisine art” is organizing by Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism and Tourism Association from 15 – 18 December 2016 at Le Van Tam Park, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event aims to honor the cuilinary values ​​of Viet Nam and countries in the world, create the opportunity to exchange culture, contribute to boosting friendship and cooperation relations among the countries. The festival is also the chance to introduce Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism brand with many diversified culture – tourism activities to domestic and international visitors.

Taste of the World Festival 2016 is expected to attract the participations of about 20 countries and territories with about 150 cuisine booths divided into 5 areas representing 5 senses: sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. Of which, the taste and smell areas include booths introducing cuisines stimulating tastes such as the South-West of Viet Nam, India, Thailand, etc. The sight and hearing areas consist of high aesthetic dishes from Western Europe (France, Italy), Japan, Korea, etc. The area of touch sense will attract visitors by unique cooking performances. Here, visitors will be guided to process dishes as rice pancakes, steamed rolled rice pancakes of Viet Nam; Italian pizza; Chinese noddle, etc,

The new feature of this year’s festival is the area “Ho Chi Minh City’s Common Cuisine House” to introduce the typical and special dishes of Ho Chi Minh City.

Besides, the festival also has many other unique activities such as introducing traditional culinary villages; introducing wine and beer of the countries; program “Vietnamese coffee convergence”; photo exhibition on culinary art; exchange with Viet Nam’s MasterChef, etc.

Taste of the World Festival 2016 is expected to attract about 500,000 domestic and international visitor arrivals to visit and enjoy the cuisine.
